Ash Wednesday?

Ash Wednesday. What is it? Where did it come from? Why are we having an Ash Wednesday Service at CPC. These are all questions you may have been asking yourself in recent days or weeks.

Put simply, Ash Wednesday is a time to remember our sin and our frailty, to focus on confession and repentance, and to look to Jesus as our only hope.

For many, Ash Wednesday’s history carries a lot of baggage that presents challenges. In CPC’s Ash Wednesday service we have borrowed from tradition but have sought to craft a service that is robustly reformed, gospel centered, and Christ honoring.
